When do you stop and reflect?
When you stand still and turn around to see how far you have come?
When do you pause and face the reality of what you need to release and let go of?
When do you take the opportunity to review mistakes and what you have learnt from them?
Mabon marks the Autumnal Equinox and is the second of the three harvest festivals in the Pagan Wheel of the Year and is primarily a celebration of giving thanks. However, this equinox also asks us to take stock of what no longer serves us, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
The seasons are always showing us how to live, evolve, grow, rest and change and autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let go by allowing their leaves to shed and fall.
So this equinox why not take the time to reflect and ponder the questions below:
What blessings have you received in the harvest this year?
Celebrate your abundance and all the blessings in your life. Consider including the mistakes and the mishaps because within each of these there will have been lessons, learning and blessings.
What are your personal harvests?
Think about all that you have done this year to nurture and grow the things that were important to you. This could be your habits, your routines, your friendships, your relationships, your career, your health, your confidence, your knowledge.
What are you ready to let go of? What steps will you take to let go?
This could be people and relationships, habits, limiting beliefs,a mask or persona you wear, an aspect of behaviour that you no longer want, possessions that no longer suit the person you are becoming,
What do you need to shed in order for your new life to grow?
Whilst this is a time to let go, it can sometimes be a difficult process because as humans we often hold on to things out of fear of letting go. But sometimes in order to grow we have to let go.
What are you thankful for?
There is so much to be thankful for and every day is an opportunity to acknowledge this and find more. List the big things and the little things and hold this gratitude in your heart.
If you need support in letting go or identifying what you need to let go of in order to allow your new life to grow and flourish then please do get in touch with me. I would be honoured to work with you.
